Texas Department of State Health Services In December 2017, Acadian Companies’ National EMS Academy Texas locations underwent a CE Program Records Audit inspection by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The scheduled inspection was in accordance with the Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 773 and the rules adopted thereunder.

The inspection found that NEMSA’s CE records are in compliance with the Health and Safety Code. Additionally, the inspector found no deficiencies or violations within NEMSA’s CE program.

The National EMS Academy’s continuing education program provides a variety of computer-based training (CBT) and virtual instructor-led training (VILT) courses. Through the continuing education program, EMS providers can complete all, or a majority, of their recertification hours depending on their state’s requirements. Courses and credit are recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

National EMS Academy offers entry-level, continuing education, and refresher courses for a number of EMS career pathways, including EMTs and paramedics. They are a nationally accredited EMS training facility with locations in Austin and Beaumont, Texas, and in Louisiana, and are an authorized American Heart Association Training Center for CPR and ECC courses.
