EMT is an entry-level position in the emergency medical services field. In 4 months, you can learn the skills you will need to work as part of a medical response team. EMTs provide basic emergency medical care and transportation to patients who access the EMS system. Medics make a difference, every day.

EMT Course Composition

Instruction, Practice, Clinical Time

  • Online Course Content: 25 days (100 hours)

  • Skills Instruction and Practice: up to 98 hours

  • Ambulance Clinical Time: Two 12-hour shifts

Course Schedule

A Hybrid Class: Part Online, Part in the Classroom

This is a hybrid course. Students will be able to complete the academic elements of the course online and will spend approximately 70 hours in a classroom learning hands-on skills. It will take about 4 months to complete all courses and earn a certificate.
