Become an Emergency Medical Technician

Make A Difference Every Day

 

EMT is an entry-level position in the emergency medical services field. In five months, you can learn the skills you will need to work as part of a medical response team. EMTs provide basic emergency medical care and transportation to patients who access the EMS system. Medics make a difference, every day.

The Skills You Will Learn:

  • Opening the airway and providing artificial ventilation
  • Delivery of semi-automated defibrillation
  • Controlling severe bleeding
  • Dressing and bandaging wounds
  • Splinting injured extremities
  • Delivery and care of infants
  • Emergency vehicle operations
  • Communications and medical record-keeping

Spring/Fall Classes

 

Our Spring 2021 classes will be available soon. For more information, sign up for a FREE information session.

Our Austin courses meet nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., twice a week on Monday and Wednesday. Beaumont courses meet 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Occasional Saturdays will be required at both site locations.
