Brandy Naquin Named as National EMS Academy’s Employee of the Year
At the Acadian Companies annual meeting in June, Enrollment Coordinator Brandy Naquin was recognized as the National EMS Academy 2022 Employee of the Year. She was presented with her award by National EMS Academy Director Taylor Richard.
A resident of Gray, LA, Naquin has been with NEMSA since 2013 and earned her Emergency Medical Technician license in 2018. Naquin works on NEMSA’s external education team and is responsible for our training center with American Heart Association. She oversees the American Heart Association (AHA) training courses within Acadian Companies, the National EMS Academy, and our high school affiliate programs. Also, she processes course completion documents and issues course completion credentials, along with training new AHA instructors. Lastly, she assists with NEMSA courses at all levels, including emergency medical responder, emergency medical technician, and paramedic in skills testing and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians testing.
“Brandy is goal-oriented, focused, organized, and the definition of a hard worker. She puts her heart into what she does,” Director of NEMSA Taylor Richard stated. “She maintains a professional relationship with numerous other entities, including NEMSA faculty, operations administration, adjunct faculty, public school instructors, and nursing homes and fire departments. She constantly strives to remain current on American Heart guidelines for course instruction and administrative processes and has played a key role in the Super Summer program for at least two consecutive years. Brandy goes above and beyond and will come in early, stay late or travel as needed to complete a task. She is a true asset to this team and I am grateful to have her as part of the NEMSA family.”
Congratulations, Brandy!
