EMT is the entry-level position in the emergency medical services field. In 3-4 months, you can learn the skills you will need to work as part of a medical response team. EMTs provide basic emergency medical care and transportation to patients who access the EMS system. Medics make a difference, every day.
Course Schedule
Spring/Fall Semesters
This is a hybrid course. Students will be able to complete didactic elements of the course online and will spend approximately 70 hours in a classroom learning hands-on skills. It will take about 3-4 months to complete all courses and earn a certificate.

Basic Course Composition
Instruction, Practice, Clinical Time
- Classroom Instruction: 25 days (100 hours)
- Skills Instruction and Practice: 17 days (68 hours)
- Ambulance Clinical Time: Two 12-hour shifts
