Leaders from South Louisiana Community College (SLCC), National EMS Academy (NEMSA), its parent company, Acadian Companies, and the community-at-large gathered together to celebrate fifteen years of excellence in emergency medicine education.
Introducing WebEx for Virtual Instructor Led Training
For the last five years, the National EMS Academy online Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) sessions have used iLinc, which requires both a computer and a phone line to attend. Starting October 1, NEMSA will be transitioning to WebEx, a more modern VILT platform.

At Acadian Companies’ annual company meeting on May 3, 2018, Regional Coordinator Martin Lee was recognized as the 2018 National EMS Academy Employee of the Year.

All students interested in taking the EMT, A&P or paramedic classes at the National EMS Academy must attend one MANDATORY information session. The purpose of an information session is to provide potential students with the steps necessary to enroll in the different courses offered.
