Can I get financial aid for the Louisiana EMT or Paramedic program?

These programs are no longer eligible for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). However, there are other financial assistance options available such as:

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA): EMT students are encouraged to apply for WIOA funding, which provides financial support for workforce training.
SLCC EMT Student Scholarships: Scholarships are available through South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) specifically for EMT students.

Students should contact their local Business and Career Solutions Center to ask about workforce aid available in their parish.
