To begin your journey as a hybrid or online student, the first step is to start the registration process.

• Click Apply Now and start your journey as an EMT

To succeed in a hybrid EMT course:

• Treat it like a traditional class: Block out dedicated study times on your calendar each week.

• Stay ahead of deadlines: Avoid waiting until the night assignments are due to log in.

• Have a tech backup plan: Identify an alternate Wi-Fi spot or computer in case of unexpected tech issues.

• Communicate early: Reach out to your instructor as soon as you have questions or run into trouble.

• Connect with classmates: Form study groups (online or in person) to review skills and practice theory.

• Maintain professionalism: Approach both online discussions and hands-on labs with academic integrity and respect.

Instructors expect students to approach the course with professionalism, active engagement, and academic integrity. This includes:

• Participating in online discussions, group activities, and in-person skills labs

• Communicating respectfully with instructors and classmates

• Submitting original work and following all academic honesty policies

Instructors provide the same academic support and structure as traditional classroom programs. You can expect clear schedules, assignment instructions, timely feedback, and responses to your questions within 24 to 48 business hours.

All coursework, assignments, quizzes, and grades are managed through Canvas, our easy-to-use online learning portal. Once enrolled, you’ll log in to Canvas to upload assignments, complete exams, track your grades, and access course announcements.

The EMT program is completed in 12 weeks. You should expect to dedicate 10 to 20 hours per week to readings, lectures, quizzes, and assignments.
