Heidi Luquette named as National EMS Academy’s Employee of the Year
October 21, 2020—At the Acadian Companies virtual annual meeting, Orientation Coordinator Heidi Luquette was recognized as National EMS Academy’s Employee of the Year.
Luquette, a resident of Abbeville, Louisiana, has been with National EMS Academy for 12 years. She has held the role of orientation coordinator for the last six years and has helped welcome thousands of new employees from anywhere between Houston, Texas and Jackson County, Mississippi. She works closely with many of Acadian’s departments to ensure that all new hires have the necessary training. In addition, she is a CPR instructor and participates in the annual Be a Heartstarter training event.
“Heidi has a tremendous work ethic and we consistently receive many compliments from new employees regarding her caring and can-do attitude. Heidi’s role is critical, as it often sets the tone for company expectations and gives the new employee a very positive first impression of our company,” said National EMS Academy Director Kirk Lacour.
Luquette earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
National EMS Academy offers entry-level, continuing education and refresher courses for a number of EMS career pathways, including EMTs and paramedics. They are a nationally accredited EMS training facility with locations in Louisiana and Texas and are an authorized American Heart Association Training Center for CPR and ECC courses.
